Why not?
I was born transsexual. It was part of my life for many years. I would no more deny that then I would deny I once broke my back or had my gall bladder out. What is there to hide?
It's my past but it's not who I am now — a woman, physically, legally, emotionally, and psychologically.
But it's not something I bring up in normal conversation, no more than I do the gall bladder operation.
